This is what happens each night... in fact, it's happening right now.
After my long night out with "the boys", I went to bed around 2:30. I was happy to learn, when being shaken alive (by Cristina) that she had woken me up at 12:20pm. I told you all I was tired. I am feeling so much better today. Had a little headache this morning, but it's better now. Today is going to be a slow post day- it's raining out and my only set plans are to hang out with Javi, Cristina's cousin, to go to the gym together at 1700.
So, I was wondering yesterday why my work-out was so difficult. Well, after taking two weeks off at the gym, I wanted to get caught up on as much as I could (yes, in one day- ha ha ha). When I got on the treadmill and realized that I was not going to know the conversion of mph to Kilometers per hour, I just started testing it out. 7 (which is the mph I do) was not going to cut it. I jumped to 10 (not working). I remembered something about approximately a half. I thought, let's try 14 (close to double 7). I did that for a good 2 minutes and didn't think I would last, so I knew I had to be wrong. I settled on 12; feeling sad that I was only able to run 6 mph. I just did the conversion- I ran 7.5 mph for 30 minutes. I am excited- HOWEVER... I was wondering why I could barely stand up yesterday- it all makes sense now! I know you are all dying to know 1 kmph = .62 mph.
My main event today was going to the gym with Javi. Javi, as I mentioned before, is Cristina's cousin. He doesn't know many words in English, so let's just say I was a little nervous. We had such a great time. I learned (and forgot) many new spanish words. Actually, I had learned quite a few when practicing, at the gym, in SF with Ivan (peso- weight, repeticiones- repitions, slower- mas despacio, etc.). Regardless of our language barrier, we laughed the whole time and got quite a work out in too. I was excited to see that I was able to express myself without using much English, but instead my limited Spanish and body gestures. Yea, I think I have a work-out partner!
Wasn't much to take pictures of today, but when walking by this playground, I couldn't help but enjoy the energy of the park. These kids were having so much fun. Much different from the park picture from Day 1 (right, Teddy?).
These little girls were being pushed around in a circle by the boy who is sitting on the ground. He was running around and around and around (which I tried to get, but I was late with the 'snap'). This is right as he slipped off the bar and flew off and fell to the ground.
This is the main part of the playground. I tried to get a picture of everything, but trees were blocking so many parts to the park, that I decided to show this one intricate park to the playground. It looks like so much fun, doesn't it?
This was actually the first picture I took. I put this picture last, because it brough back so many memories. I kept thinking about the times when Brad, Teddy and I would go to the side of our house (to the outdoor faucet under Brad's window) and fill up water balloons and have water balloon fights. I also remember having to tie Teddy's balloons because he didn't know how : ) I was waiting for these kids to just let it rip on one another, but they never did. They played pretty calm and would just let the water out of the balloons and fill them up again. A couple of the boys pretended they were peeing : ) Gotta love the fact that boys all over the world are the same.
Intersting things about Barcelona-
Everyone under 30 has their face pierced (somewhere)
Mullets are still in
Beagles are everywhere (I tell you, these people are smart- Beagles are the cutest dogs everywhere- no matter what Kate thinks)
People do not say excuse me (perdon) unless they bump into you and then sometimes will say perdon.
You buy bread from the baker everyday
The euro ($1 and $2 euros) are coins. Well, when you want to get something from a vending machine- let's say (at the gym) and you need change, you can't use you paper euro. You say, go to the front and ask for change, right? I DON'T KNOW HOW! Cambio is change and cambiar is (to change), but I want 2 $2 euros and 1 $1 euro- how do you say that? UH!
Emotional breakdowns: 3 (this is the picture that did it)
I miss my brothers and seeing my niece and nephew grow up (I love you guys!)

Check this one out!

We really miss you too. When we see you next we'd love to have a water balloon fight. I'd be happy to bombard you with water balloons while you tie them for Savannah and carter.
Keep the pictures and the commentary coming. Did I email you the picture of Savannah rock climbing?
In DR growing up we used to have all out Water Balloon Battles (when there was running water!). My house was the base and if you got into my garden, you were safe! I wonder if my throwing arm is what it used to be. Shall we have a go when you get back?
